First United Methodist Church of Grandview has embraced the United Methodist Mission of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" and enlarged upon it to include "Honoring Christ in all that we do." FUMC-Grandview's congregation lives this Mission Statement daily by opening their hearts with compassion for others, opening their minds to new experiences in worship and their daily lives and opening doors for themselves and others by Honoring Christ in all that they do.
At the First United Methodist Church of Grandview, it is the belief that the first purpose in life is to worship the Creator, God, always seeking to give the best to God in worship as a gathered community of faith. It is the deepest desire that worship becomes a meaningful and vital part of each Christians life each Sunday.
Church services start at 11:00 a.m. The service is liturgical worship and regularly features the Chancel Choir. This worship is through traditional symbols and acts of worship. This is an opportunity to worship in a more traditional setting you may be more familiar with growing up.
*FIRST SUNDAY of each month in all worship services Holy Communion is provided. United Methodists practice an open table, so all are welcome to participate in the sacrament, regardless of age, church membership, or experience.
**Each Sunday time is set aside for children during services. Children are invited to come forward at this special time to participate in the story. Childcare is available for children up to the age of 5.
